Hosting a quiz night
What do I need for a quiz night?
A screen or projector for the slides, a laptop, a printer for the answer sheets, pens, and a quizmaster who reads out the questions.
How long does a quiz take?
Each product page lists it, for example about 2 hours. Add time for a break and for marking.
How many people can play?
A quiz works well with teams of two to six people. The number of teams is up to you: as long as everyone can see the slide and you can mark the sheets, more teams can join.
Playing bilingually
How does the slide with Dutch and English work?
Every question appears in both languages on the same slide: Dutch on top, English below. The quizmaster reads the question in whichever language suits the group best. Players read along in their own language.
Is that useful for a mixed group?
Yes, that is what it is made for. Everyone plays the same questions at the same moment, without anyone having to translate.
Does the website language change what I receive?
No. The language of the website only decides the texts in the shop. The files are the same for every purchase, even if you view the site in English.
The files
Which files do I get?
PowerPoint files (.pptx) for the slides and Excel files (.xlsx) for the answers. Sometimes there is also a text file with instructions.
Which programs can open them?
The files are made in PowerPoint and Excel. They also open in Keynote, Google Slides and LibreOffice, but the layout can differ there: fonts sometimes shift and slides may wrap differently. Test the quiz beforehand in the program you will present with.
Playing and printing
What do I need to print?
Print the answer sheets (if the quiz includes them), one per team. You can keep the answers for the quizmaster on your laptop.
How does a round go?
The quizmaster shows the slide and reads the question, teams write down their answer, and after each round the sheets are marked. The instructions in the download explain the scoring.
Licences and use
Which licence do I need?
There is one licence per quiz. You may use the quiz as often as you like for quiz nights of your own or your organisation, even if you charge admission. If you host as a quizmaster for a client, you need a licence for each client. Reselling or sharing is not allowed.
What is the licence code in the files?
The PowerPoint and Excel files you download contain your licence code and order number. If one of these files is shared without permission, it can be traced back to the purchase. It is not copy protection: you can simply use and print the files.
Paying and downloading
How can I pay?
With iDEAL or card. Prices include VAT.
How long do download links work?
A download link works for 24 hours. If you need a new one, log in to My quizzes and download the files again. The purchase itself does not expire.
How do I download again?
Go to My quizzes and log in with the email address of your order. You get a sign-in link by email. Then you can see all your purchases and files.
Refunds
Can I get my money back?
At checkout you agree to immediate delivery, so your right of withdrawal ends. If a file does not open, something is missing or an answer is wrong, email us with your order number. We send a corrected version or refund (part of) the amount. A full refund or chargeback ends access to the download.
